hui'an county is part of quanzhou city in fujian province. it's located on a piece of land that sticks out from fujian's southeastern coast, right between quanzhou bay and meizhou bay.

hui'an has mountains on one side and is surrounded by the sea on the other three sides. the weather there is very pleasant: summers are not too hot, winters are not too cold, and it feels like spring all year round.

hui'an is famous for two things: the unique traditions of the hui'an women and its stone carvings.
